Gata festival in Armenia takes place in Khachik village. Gata is a very tasty sweet that has a very interesting and unusual cooking process. In different regions of Armenia, gata is prepared according to different recipes, has different shapes, sizes. In the village of Khachik, lovers of gata can participate in the baking process, in the ceremony of cutting the giant gata and, accordingly, treats. There are various sizes of gata: small, medium and large. In 2017, a two-meter gata was presented, which was included in the Guinness Book of Records. The festival is accompanied by traditional songs and dances, as well as a tasting of national dishes.
