The Mulberry (Tut) festival is held in the Syunik region, in the village of Karahundzh in July. There are numerous and beautiful mulberry gardens. The festival begins with the traditional shaking of trees, as a result of which the tut falls from the trees onto a tarpaulin stretched and held by the participants. In the process of harvesting, live music sounds everywhere, dance groups perfome, etc. Visitors can watch the process of making mulberry vodka, as well as taste it. You can also observe the process of making doshab (the healing syrup boiled from tut, it can also be used as gravy for fish). Guests and tourists can buy jam, mulberry vodka and dried fruits as well.
