On May 1 Labor Day is traditionally celebrated. In more than 100 countries of the world on May 1 the International Day of Worker Solidarity is celebrated. May Day holiday was one of the main in the USSR. In Soviet Armenia, this holiday was celebrated in 1919.
In general, Labor Day in the republic is celebrated without special festivities. Traditionally, the country’s inhabitants are congratulated by the head of the state.
