New Year in Armenia is one of the most favorite holidays, which is celebrated on December 31. The preparations for it begin in a month. On this day, festive tables are set, rich with Armenian traditional dishes. Holiday fairs dedicated to New Year's attributes are arranged. Mainly, local products are presented, ranging from food to light industry products, as well as jewelry from local craftsmen. Celebratory festivities are arranged along the colorful streets of the city and parks. On New Year's Eve, a festive concert with a laser show takes place on Republic Square, which ends with a grand disco and colorful fireworks.
